Green Cross Veterinary Products announced on the 29th that it has launched 'Celinox Inj', a broad-spectrum antibiotic approved for both dogs and cats.

Celinox, with Cefovecin sodium as its main ingredient, is a long-lasting broad-spectrum antibiotic for pets that maintains its antimicrobial effect for two weeks.

Cefovecin sodium is garnering attention in the veterinary field as an antibiotic that can be applied to various diseases, including periodontal diseases, respiratory infections, and prevention of soft tissue infection after TNR surgery. It is used in treatment protocols of various animal medical institutions and in domestic and international clinical papers.

Until now, there have been no domestic medicines for pet antibiotics with Cefovecin (Cephalosporin) ingredients and they had to rely solely on imported medicines. Green Cross Veterinary Products has obtained the first domestic manufacturing approval for a Cephalosporin antibiotic, Cefovecin, to broaden the choices for domestic clinical veterinarians. It has confirmed that there is no significant difference in the bioavailability of the two substances from the relative bioavailability data of the control group and the test group within the bioequivalence evaluation criteria through a public testing institution.

Considering both economy and stability, Green Cross Veterinary Products has released Celinox in a 4mL small-volume package. The 4mL capacity is considered to be prescribed without unnecessary disposal within the recommended usage period (28 days) with a dosage for 8 pets based on 5kg.

Finally, through the launch of Celinox, Green Cross Veterinary Products expects to greatly contribute to the improvement of pet welfare through the enhancement of veterinarians' prescription choices and the stable supply of the product.
