Green Cross Veterinary Products is distributing the highly-talked-about wireless smart stethoscope for animals, 'WithaPET,' developed by SmartSound. The 'WithaPET' from SmartSound has garnered attention from veterinarians, being introduced at the Busan Veterinary Conference and Seoul Veterinary Clinical Conference.
On the 7th (Friday), Green Cross Veterinary Products Co., Ltd. (CEO Na Seung-sik) and SmartSound Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Jung-ho) announced that they have signed an agreement to expand the pet healthcare market for the animal wireless smart stethoscope, 'WithaPET.' 'WithaPET' is a wireless smart stethoscope specially optimized for pets and animal healthcare systems, based on SmartSound's 12-year validated smart stethoscope technology in hospitals. It can provide real-time measurements of a pet's heart and lung sounds, pulse rate, and respiration, allowing the listening and recording of heart and lung sounds via a dedicated app. Moreover, it is designed for data transmission to charts through EMR (Electronic Medical Record) integration.
Furthermore, starting from the first quarter of 2023, 'WithaPET' will offer AI-based early diagnosis support services for canine heart diseases (MMVD, mitral valve insufficiency, tricuspid valve dysplasia, congestive heart failure). SmartSound is currently collecting heart disease auscultation data from Seoul National University College of Veterinary Medicine and conducting related research. They have also expanded their research collaboration with Chungnam National University College of Veterinary Medicine. SmartSound was awarded the 'Minister of Science and ICT Award' in April for developing the first AI solution for identifying cardiovascular diseases using a smart stethoscope.
